EVENT

An event consists of a series of single elimination runs where the winner moves on and the loser goes home.

In Bracket-style racing, events are carried out in side-by-side elimination runs. No "ladder," per se, is established. Racing order is random. During Bracket racing, the match-ups are shown as two columns. AI players have a small computer icon next to them and human players have a small helmet next to them. The participants currently racing are indicated with a christmas tree next to them.

In Heads-up style racing, drivers must qualify to reach the round of 16 finalists. Qualifying is carried out in a fashion similar to Bracket racing: side-by-side runs with the top 16 E.T.s qualifying for the final ladder that will eventually narrow the field down to one. The Heads-up ladder is a true ladder that pits the fastest drivers against the slower drivers (giving the faster drivers the advantage).

If the ladder is not filled, bye runs are given to the fastest qualifiers first.

During event play, you will be allowed to watch the current race and/or the event ladder while waiting for your turn. When it's your turn to stage, you will be prompted to stage, and given a summary of your opponent. Racing then proceeds as in a single race.
